In our 16th year - we are hosting 39 meetings every week
The West Valley Fellowship was formed in 2007 by a group of men and women who recognized the need for more AA meetings in this area as well as a location to hold them.
The original location at the corner of Dysart and 8th Street was started as a handshake deal between the group and the landlord. The hope was that the club could become self-sustaining within a reasonable period of time. The vision and investment of those original members has come to fruition as meeting attendance has grown and multiple home groups have formed. Countless alcoholics can attribute their sobriety to the help received at the West Valley Fellowship.
The West Valley Fellowship is not AA. The Fellowship provides the space and resources necessary for AA and other recovery meetings to occur. The Board of Directors are men and women who are doing 'service work' to continue the vision of the original members. The Board is responsible for the operating costs of maintaining the club, providing books, literature, coffee, etc. and maintaining a 'prudent reserve' to ensure the Fellowship's financial solvency and continued success.
Board Meetings are open to all members and interested parties and are held the 2nd Monday of every month at 5pm
One way you can help ensure the West Valley Fellowship's continued success is to become a member. Dues are $10 per month or $100 for an entire year. Collected dues contribute towards our operating costs, from rent and utilities to supplies, books-literature, chips, and cleaning the premises.
To be sure, membership dues are not intended to replace or compete with the 7th Tradition. We are a not-for-profit organization - aiming to keep the lights on and the doors open to all who seek fellowship and sustained recovery.
Dues can be paid via cash or check into one of the pre-printed envelopes available at the Club (Chairpersons can deposit into our secure dropbox).
Or, guess can be made via the PayPal option on the 'Donations-Resources' Tab as a recurring monthly payment or as a one-time payment of any amount.
And, we welcome checks made out to West Valley Fellowship Club, mailed to
WVFC, 919 West Dysart Road, Suite W, Avondale AZ 85323
For your tax-deduction, our non-profit ID is 32-0558993
